We've been shortlisted for a Cornwall Live EDGE Award
We've been shortlisted for the Best Digital Media Company accolade at the Cornwall Live EDGE Awards 2018.
We're proud to be recognised alongside an array of truly remarkable individuals and digital schemes.
We can’t wait to celebrate the best of Cornwall’s tech talent during the awards night, held at the Lighthouse Cinema in Newquay on Thursday 15 November.
“It's humbling to see our name on the shortlist and to have the hard work of the whole Everest Media team recognised,” said Samuele Armondi, Managing Director.
“The EDGE Awards is great at highlighting really innovative and inspiring projects that help Cornwall stand out for digital expertise.
We've been shortlisted as Best Digital Media Company - and we're all delighted!
“Our team has everything crossed that we will be named as the Best Digital Media Company. But we know it will be tough! To be mentioned alongside the other contenders is already a proud achievement for us.
“A big thank you must go to the judging panel, and to those who have congratulated us on being shortlisted. It really means a lot! Good luck to everyone involved.”
What are the EDGE Awards?
The Cornwall Live EDGE Awards was first launched in 2017, stylishly putting Kernow’s digital superstars into the spotlight.
Space is to be the theme for this year’s awards. Team Everest will be rubbing shoulders with some of the Duchy’s finest digital entrepreneurs, games designers and software developers. Teaching projects and businesspersons in the space and marine industries have also been named.
The final shortlist including Everest Media’s inclusion in the running for the award, sponsored by the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Skills Hub, was announced this week.
Jacqui Merrington, Regional Digital Editor for Cornwall Live and its sister titles in Devon, led the judging panel. Like her fellow panel members, she was really impressed with the standard of entries from right across Cornwall.
She said: “There’s some brilliant digital stars of the future, some great start-ups and a large number of well-established businesses that are really making a mark on the digital landscape.
“The EDGE Awards is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the best and brightest tech talent in Cornwall – and you’ve shown us that it’s definitely out there.”
Can we win it?
Whatever happens at the ceremony, we look forward to toasting the immense technological advancements being made in Cornwall.
From STEM education and start-ups to the large enterprises leading the way – they all make us very proud to be living and working in Cornwall.
