If Everest Media’s 2018 was to be summed up in just one word, it would undoubtedly be ‘growth’.
In fact, ‘busy’ wouldn’t be a bad shout either. With fresh faces, new clients and a bigger office, Team Everest look back on the past business year with great pride.
We have been reflecting on the important steps made in 2018. All of us would like to wholeheartedly thank everyone who played a part in The Everest Story throughout the year.
In the business world it can be all too easy to let these moments pass; exciting future plans and projects are always pressing. Though we’ve taken a moment, in this blog post, to document and remember some vital and memorable events.
A lot of groundwork was made in 2018, with a clear growth strategy in mind. We hope it will stand us in good stead for a happy and successful 2019 – and we’d love you to be a part of it!
So, what did Everest Media do in 2018?
“Where do we start with 2018?”, says Sam Armondi, MD. “It was a fantastic year for Everest, full of special highlights and proud moments.”
“We talk a lot about growth strategy here, and the importance of having one. The past year has been a great example of that process. We have made some careful additions and changes to our work – and it all looks to be paying off.”
No fewer than eleven people joined the team in 2018. As well as talented developers and designers, experts in SEO, content creation and social media also came on board.
The year saw the full establishment of Everest Media’s senior team. Claire Edwards, Gareth Preston and Ellen Rogers have all enjoyed working together and contributing to Everest’s growth.
Our expanding workforce has allowed us to deliver some great pieces of work for clients, jobs that we can all be proud of and look forward to continuing.

Everest Media’s is one of courage, innovation and success – and it has only just started. https://t.co/zAIoPpR783
Everest Media is now on the UK Government’s suppliers list for Digital Services and Software Development. We’re also starting an exciting new relationship with a leading motorsport manufacturer who works with the likes of Aston Martin and Lotus.
We have a new home too, in the fresh and more spacious surroundings of the Pool Innovation Centre. “I genuinely love the feel of the place,” adds Sam.
“When we held our Macmillan Coffee Morning here in September, we were delighted to see such a great turn out. That day we heard a lot of lovely comments about the office design and atmosphere, that really meant a lot.” Indeed, Business Cornwall reflected these thoughts in a recent feature article.
Meanwhile, Everest Media was shortlisted for Cornwall’s Best Digital Media Company, our SEO reports were picked up by the press, and our founders were included in Cornwall's Top 50 Digital Entrepreneurs list. Our wall of individual staff achievements has almost been filled to capacity too, as team members chase extra qualifications and skills.
Moreover, Everest Media grew 128% year on year for the 2017/18 financial year - something we’re all very keen to build on.
Here’s to 2019!
Those of you who know us well will know that we’re not likely to rest on our laurels. Since we returned from the Christmas break there’s been noticeable excitement at Everest HQ, and a feeling that 2019 can be just as (if not more) special.
“Simply put, we’re hoping that 2019 will see all of our 2018 groundwork pay off,” adds Sam.
“We would love to end the year with a bigger team, who are all proud to work here and love the environment we have created together."
