Thank you for making our Macmillan Coffee Morning a great success!
Wow – what a morning we had on Friday September 28! Our Macmillan Coffee Morning was a HUGE success, raising over £650 for the incredible charity in just two hours.
This was only made possible thanks to the many clients, friends and new faces who visited our offices from 10am-12pm to indulge in charitable coffee, chats and cake.
Now that we have done our final calculations – and digested all the scrumptious sweet snacks – we really want to say a massive THANK YOU! to everyone who visited, donated and made our morning memorable.
Hundreds of businesses, schools and individuals took part in the Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

The grand total of life-saving money raised has not yet been confirmed. But if the social media feeds on the day are anything to go by – Macmillan will be happy!
“We are all just so pleased with how the morning went,” said Samuele Armondi, our MD. “Raising such a great total in just a couple of hours is something we’re very proud of.
“It couldn’t have been done without everyone who turned up and donated, as well as our team’s hidden baking talents!”
He added: “Macmillan is such an incredible charity. It was lovely to be just a small part of a day of epic fundraising across the whole country.
“Getting the chance to have a chat with other businesses and professionals throughout was also great. It gave us a brilliant opportunity to turn strangers into friends – all in the name of charity.”
Donations didn’t just come from eating and drinking, many also gave generously to try their luck at a couple of party games. ‘Guess the Size of the Sausage Roll’ and ‘Place the Cherry on the Gateau’ were particular favourites.
Throughout the morning Team Everest were also flattered with some special comments about our new offices and our homemade bakes. The honour of being crowned Star Baker went to our social media guru, Danielle Chapman, who served up a delicious Lemon and Blueberry Loaf Cake.
Where did the money come from?
After the crowds had left the Everest staff got their counting caps on to work out the total. An amazing £295.73 was raised in cash on the day, with £30 also coming through in text donations.
We then honoured our pledge to match all the donations received (£325.73) and were proud to donate the grand total of £651.46 to the inspirational charity.
As well as helping with the medical needs of people affected by cancer the major charity also focusses on the social, emotional and practical impact it can have, as well as campaigning for better cancer care in general.
