We're talking to Cornwall's business leaders to understand the impact of the pandemic across various industries, and what we can learn from them.
Thank you for supporting Macmillan's World's Biggest Coffee Morning 2019
Thanks to you, we've raised a fantastic amount for Macmillan Cancer Support.
We had a great morning at our 2019 Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 27 September, raising more than £250 in just two hours.
We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who dropped in to eat cake and donate during the event. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to catch up with clients, colleagues, and our Pool Innovation Centre neighbours for a great cause.
Samuele Armondi, our MD said:
We are so thankful to everybody who supported our coffee morning. It's a great feeling to come together and support a cause we truly believe in, and we know the money we have raised will make a real difference to the lives of people living with cancer.
Previous star bakers, Danielle and Ellen had the honours of choosing our next star baker. Our judges were really impressed with all of the team's entries.
Ellen said, "It's really great to see how the team have branched out and not been afraid to try new recipes this year."
The award went to Dean Marcussen, one of our Senior Developers. His frittatas were a savoury delight and everyone who tried them gave their compliments to the chef.
Well deserved, Dean.
Raising dough for Macmillan
With your help, we raised £128.84 on the day for Macmillan Cancer Support. As promised, we were thrilled to match fund donations to raise a total of £257.68 for the charity.
Macmillan is almost entirely funded by donations and simply cannot support the growing number of people with cancer who need them without the public’s help. Every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. There are over 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK and this is set to grow to almost 4 million by 2030.
Thank you for helping us support a cause that means a lot to our team.
